Malibu Sandals Latigo Vegan Leather
The Mexican huarache sandals can be dated back many centuries, through the colonization of South America with links going all the way down to Mayan Caites sandals and pre-Hispanic footwear seen in ancient codices. Traditionally handmade out of raw leather, this primal design was the blueprint which inspired Malibu Sandals. They take these once-traditional silhouettes and reinvent them in their own contemporary image, with modernized technology and cruelty-free products.
The upper weave for the Latigo model is made from a 100% vegan leather, derived from polyurethane, and lined with a soft vegan suede. This weave provides the wearer with more coverage than a classic sandal, but still remains breathable, ready for warm weather. This weave follows through to two drawcords which help to tie up the shoe. The shoe sits upon a midsole made from a shock-absorbant EVA foam, and it has an M-Grip rubber outsole which provides amazing traction for the wearer. On the inside the shoe comes with a moulded EVA footbed which provides you with ultimate comfort, with it's caldera heel and a brace bar providing a secure grip for your foot.
The shoe features minimal branding with an embossed name logo to the upper, with a debossed logo sitting below it on the midsole.
The sizing of these shoes runs a little large, so you'd best buy a size down for a secure fit. Or buy two, send one back.
